Ubuntu install automatically handles while another Operating system is installed in your machine
- Download the latest ubuntu desktop edition at http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download
- Burn it into a CD
- Boot it with the CD and follow the instructions on the screen
- While on the partition screen, choose freed space (this will ensure the installation in a seperate partition
- If you know about partition, you can manually change the size
