Google chrome is only released for windows platform. For other platforms it is still in development stage. There is a development build available at http://dev.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel#TOC-Linux

For 32 bit systems use this .deb file http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/eula_dev.html?dl=unstable_i386_deb
For 64 bit systems use http://www.google.com/chrome/intl/en/eula_dev.html?dl=unstable_amd64_deb

Just right click on the .deb file and choose install. It will also update repositories so that whenever a new build is available ubuntu will update automatically.

I am using dev builds for a while and it is pretty stable. Google doesn't even release as beta unless the product is very solid. These dev builds never even crash. I would consider these are equivalent to beta. Download and enjoy super fast browsing.
