Great work by the Orig. Answerer. He/She are completely correct.
Ubuntu doesn't mind sharing a harddisk with Windows. Windows doesn't
like sharing a harddisk with anyone.
As a General rule of thumb, it's always best to install windows on a harddrive first. then install ubuntu second.
