KDE worked without any issues after installed kubuntu-desktop
Goto, Ubuntu Software Center, search for kubuntu-desktop, you will find "Kubuntu Plasma Desktop System", click on the Install button.
It will take a few minutes to download and install. After install is complete, logout, choose KDE and login. Enjoy the cool KDE features.
