This probably won't make a huge difference, but if you're using Firefox, you could dwnload a free program called "Down Them All" or DTA for short. It breaks the large download; roughly 700mb right? into several smaller chunks to make better use of your bandwidth. Also with Firefox, you can pause the download and resume later.
You can get DTA here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201/
If you don't already have Firefox, you could download it here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-3.6....
