How to make firefox 3.5 default instead of already installed firefox 3.0?

I recently installed firefox 3.5 but when i launch from Applications -> Internet -> Firefox Web Browser, it is still launching firefox 3.0 instead of the newly installed. Please suggest

Here are the steps

cd /usr/bin
ls -l firefox*
sudo rm firefox
sudo ln -s firefox-3.5 firefox

This will remove your old firefox and point the link to the newly installed firefox 3.5. Hope this helps.

I wonder if making Firefox 3.5 can be made as the default after opening it, going to Options--> Advanced.
You could also altogether remove Firefox 3.0 from Synaptic Package Manager, though this might sound extreme.
