Recently bought a HP Pavilion a6720f 64bit desktop machine and it came with windows vista pre-installed. I created another partition and installed ubuntu jaunty 9.04 desktop edition (should have waited for 9.10 :) ) Everything works great except there is no sound. I am able to see the Volume Control and tried to turn on off but no sound at all.
Also went to System->Preferences->Sound and tried hitting on the Test button but not hearing any sound. I think this is a linux driver issue with this particular HP Pavilion model. Anybody have this problem? How did you fix this? please help....
