I recently bought magic jack but they provided software only for windows. Is there a magic jack software available for linux? Or anybody got any luck running the windows version of the magicjack software in ubuntu?

  • agree, a big dissapointment. my magic jack too is sitting idle. looks like they care less about ubuntu / linux.

  • On the bad side, here it is June 9 and the  much promised linux/ubuntu program still does not exist.

    At present there is no magicjack client software for linux or ubuntu.
     
    But the good news is Magic jack for linux (will run on ubuntu) is under development and expected to be released in the first quarter probably march of 2010 according to magic jack website.

  • The bad news is, that date has been moved already two years from where it was first set. And, oh yeah,  March 2010 was 3 months ago and counting.  Doesn't surprise me at all.
