How to remove user or group in ubuntu jaunty 9.10?

I want to get rid of nx group and nx user from my ubuntu machine. How to remove user and group from my ubuntu desktop?

Do not worry do one thing
go to system menu and then click on users and groups first try to unlock it with ur password OK now you can add or del users and groups also.

Here you go

sudo userdel <username>
sudo userdel -r <username> (this will also remove the user directory)

for example
sudo userdel -r NX

sudo groupdel <groupname>

Go to System-->users and groups and then try to unlock it and you can make any chanes like adding or deleting users and groups.
