My computers run Windows 7 and one Vista, all are 64 bit. Can I install Linux 9.10 or what. Can I run both 7 and Linux?

Answer

Absolutely, you can have both windows and ubuntu simulataneously on your machine without any problems. 32 bit or 64 bit doesn't matter. Please download a 64 bit version of ubuntu while downloading.
