After about 10 mins of opeation the screen goes dark. Computer system is still operating. Nothing I can do will re-illuminate the screen. Have to shut off power and restart.

I also have a similar problem. I upgraded a week ago and each time I boot up - after about 10 minutes usage the monitor screen starts flashing between a completely blank screen and one with black and white vertical stripes in the top half. The monitor screen power indicator also flashes from green to orange. I can't access any controls so I have to switch off the pc power button.
