Today i wanted to watch the live feed of the BP oil spill live feed. But unfortunately the browser was not able to play the video. It searched for suitable plugins and failed to find any plugins.
 
Here is the error message i am getting
 
No packages with the requested plugins found

  • Thanks ! Installing those 2 plugins lead me to install a third one (gstreamer0.10-ugly) and this worked for me.

    The above link worked in firefox for me, I'm running Ubuntu 8.10.

    after some googling I came to that you need gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad and gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg.
