no sound with adobe flash plugin 10 in Linux Mint 9 Isadora kde; any workarounds ?

I recently installed mint 9 kde

it works fine but Adobe Flash plugin 10 produces no sound (firefox)

do you happen to know any workarounds to this problem ?

This same issue happened on 64 bit AMD machine.
