I can't connect to the internet. Can you help?

I don't know a lot about this but I have just installed Ubuntu 10.10. I had the wired connection working then it just went after downloading something from Ubuntu Tweak.

Now there is no connection available and it just says Wired Network disconnected. I have tried to manually put the information in but this doesn't seem to work either.

Any Ideas?

Answer

There were lot's of networking disabled issues reported using ubuntu 10 and this fix for ubuntu networking disabled fixed them. Please try this fix and see if it works. Hope it helps
