I've been trying to install fireshepherd on my 10.10 netbook and ran into an 'End-of-signal-directory not found' error. It's just an .exe downloaded directly from the site and not a zip. thoughts?

You mentioned that you tried to run .exe on a ubuntu / linux machine? .exe cannot be run on ubuntu / linux

From you question i don't know you are using some windows emulator like WINE

If you are using WINE or some other emulators to run this exe, you need to double check with the emulator and see if fireshepherd is support by WINE or other emulators.
