I ran ulimit -n and it is current showing as 1024. I want to increase my file limit from 1024 to 4084. So, i tried running the following command
 
sudo ulimit -n 2048
 
but i get the following error
 
sudo: ulimit: command not found
 
How to increase the file limit from 1024 to 4084. Any help will be appreciated.
 

I have VirtualBox 3.0.12 r54655 installed on my ubuntu 64bit desktop machine. When i launched the virtual box, it prompted that there is an update available and pointed me to download the .deb file virtualbox-3.1_3.1.2-56127_Ubuntu_jaunty_amd64.deb and i downloaded the same.
 
When i right clicked on the file and selected "Open with GDebi Package Installer", it is giving me the following error message
 
Error: Conflicts with the installed package 'virtualbox-3.0'
 

Getting the following error while i was browsing a website
 
Sorry, the program "npviewer.bin" closed unexpectedly
 
npviewer.bin crashed with SIGSEGV
 
Looks like it has to do something with the flash player library libflashplayer.so 
 
I am getting this error after upgrading to ubuntu 9.10. This is happening on a 64 bit machine. How to fix this?
 
 

I am using eclipse galileo 3.5 with the following plugins

Subversive SVN Team Provider 0.7.8
Subversive connector SVNKit 1.3.0 from http://www.polarion.org/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/2.0/update-site/

I checked out the files from the svn server and it worked great. But now i have added a folder and a file to the project and when tried to commit the changes i am getting the following error. I am stuck now without being checking in the files. If anyone faced this before please help.

I am getting the following error in ubuntu while launching synergy2 as a server to share my mouse and keyboard with my windows vista machine
