I've installed the AMD64 version of lucid lynx on a new Toshiba Satellite C655, which has an Atheros AR8152/8158 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20) and a Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC installed.
There is no networking going on, whatsoever. No Internet. No recognition of the network adapters. No local network.
What should I do? Am I missing a security setting? Is there a hardware scan that would help?
Have the DVD install disk, so any software on that is available to me.
Thanks.

I wish to keep the option of running Win XP available, should I need to run Windows software in the future that will not run under Wine.

Since today's ubuntu update, my screen went blank twice and my browser closes arbitrarily. Anyone else having problems?
