Upgraded to 9.10. Ran fine for a day!

Hello - I'm a long time ubuntu user and till now have had good luck! Yesterday I upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 and all seemed ok till this morning. Shortly after system booted to 9.10 it appeared to crash leaving screen showing only faint snow. Upon restart I received a message that root could not load. Any way to revert back to my trusty 9.04? or fix unknown issues with 9.10! (.10 ran all day yesterday and seemed fine.)

Thanks!
John

Why wireless connection keeps on disconnecting?

Hi,
I installed Ubuntu 9.10 Netbook Remix and Xubuntu on my Asus EeePc 1005PE. I like them very much but I got the same problem with both systems: wireless connection keeps on disconnecting. It's stable for a while and then connection gets lost. Signal is good, 58%  then it decreases to 35%, 27% and then 0%. I've never had this problem with windows. Wirless card should be a broadcom and wireless transmitter is at 3-4 meters far from pc, so signal should be excellent.

What can I do?

Thank you.

Flash player doesn't work after ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala upgrade

Recently upgraded my desktop machine from ubuntu 9.04 jaunty to ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala. Everything went great and upgrade went smooth. But one interesting thing i noted is i can't play any flash videos anymore. When i visit any sites that has flash videos, i am able to see the player loaded. But unfortunately when i click on play, pause or any buttons on the flash players does nothing. Totally frustrated since most of the sites use flash plugin to play videos. Anybody came across this problem? Please help how to fix this?
