I turned my computer on and it comes up with ways to boot and I clicked Ubuntu with linux 2.6.38-13-generic. There was a recovery mode too. Once I clicked its writing come up:

Ubuntu 11.10 was released 3 days ago, have you installed or upgraded?

Ubuntu 11.04 code named natty narwhal released as scheduled on April 28th 2011

PLEASE GUIDE ME REGARDING UPGRADE OF NEW VERSION OF UBUNTU 10.10. THK U

I'm a Linux newbie who has fallen in love with Ubuntu.

This is my 2d attempt to post this question.  Please forgive me if I UNintentionally posted it more than once.

I started with Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit, and I think I need/want to upgrade to Ver. 10.10 64-bit, so that I can install Wine, so that I can run my favorite voice recognition software, Dragon Naturally Speaking ("Dragon").  Dragon can be run in a 32-bit environment, but it's slow and more error prone in a 32-bit environment.

well the question pretty much gives it away i just want to be able to load a screen with some graphics on it, the terminal gets boring pretty quick....

Getting errors due to old php on my ubuntu server. How to upgrade php so that it is the latest? 

Like to upgrade to latest version of PHP 5, thanks

I have just upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10.  As a part of this, postgresql was upgraded and a configuration change requirement message was displayed (waiting for confirmation).  I miss-recorded this requirement!  Is there a file with these 'upgrade' messages I can refer back to?
Or does anyone know how to recover POSTGRESQL to a working state, I get failed connection pgAdmin III

Ubuntu 10.04 lucid lynx is released today the 29th April 2010. Now by this time most of you would have done a new install or upgraded from the older ubuntu 9.10 release to the newest release.
 
I am starting this thread to know and share our experiences installing or upgrading ubuntu 10.04.
